Interaide

Interaide was founded in 1980 and is a French non-governmental organization hat specializes in the implementation of development programs.

Missions

Our goal is to support the most underpriviledged families in developing countries by helping them build the capacities to meet their basic needs.
The aim is to strengthen our partners’ capacities so that they can continue the activities, start new programmes and find adequate resources to do so.

Principles

The Inter Aide guiding principles are to :

  • focus exclusively on the design, implementation and assessment of development programs.
  • keep a pragmatic, non-ideological approach when defining solutions with underpriviledged families.
  • always seek to work with the most disadvantaged families.
  • take every possible action to build the capacities of the beneficiary families, by insisting on their full involvement and by training them to replicate the activities.
  • act with political neutrality and absolute confidentiality, in full respect of the families’ beliefs.

There are several types of programmes, defined according to the families’ needs :

  • water and sanitation.
  • community health care, school health and sanitation, tuberculosis and AIDS prevention.
  • primary education.
  • access to employment: vocational training, microcredit.
